Transforming Water Security for Malawi

The Salima–Lilongwe Water Supply Project (SLWSP) is a strategic national infrastructure project developed by the Government of Malawi through the Salima–Lilongwe Water Supply Company (SLWSC). The project will abstract water from Lake Malawi, treat it to potable standards and deliver 100,000 m³/day of bulk water to Lilongwe City and communities along the Salima–Lilongwe Corridor. With construction already underway, the project presents an attractive opportunity for lenders, institutional investors, infrastructure funds and development finance institutions to participate in one of Africa's most impactful water infrastructure investments.
