Malawi Government under the Companies Act established Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Company Limited (SLWSC) in 2017 as a private limited company. SLWSC is responsible to provide oversight and guidance in the implementation of the Salima-Lilongwe Water Supply Project, to manage operations and maintenance of the water supply system, and to develop and manage water resources for raw and potable bulk water supply to support the socio-economic development of Malawi

A Board of Directors governs SLWSC. The CEO reports to the Chairperson of the Board of Directors and is supported by the Director of Finance, the Director of Engineering, Division Heads, and other support Staff.
